Position Summary

• Position reports to the Vice President of US Medical Oncology (USMO), and is a core member of the USMO leadership team. This role will have accountability as the US market Medical Lead and lead the Melanoma portfolio and Relatlimab program.  S/he will lead the US Medical matrix teams to set medical strategies and objectives on data generation, publications, communication, etc.; oversee the execution of medical activities to increase knowledge, and ensure safe/effective use of BMS products.  This role will engage top Thought Leaders in the US market, lead teams to translate clinical insights into actionable strategies and tactics.  S/he will oversee the effort of educating colleagues and HCPs to ensure understanding of research data and the science behind our medicines.  This senior director is responsible for partnering with US Commercialization, collaborating with WW Medical, Clinical Development teams to pursue a strategic vision for the product lifecycle within Melanoma portfolio and Relatlimab program; and providing leadership and direction to the Medical teams on multiple tumors across lines of therapy

Key Responsibilities

• Set clear and challenging goals that allow skilled and empowered professionals to accomplish business objectives consistent with organization and portfolios’ strategies; cultivate high performing
• Make objective and effective decision; collaborate across the solid tumor leadership team, the US Medical Oncology matrix, and the US Oncology Commercialization organization.
• Direct the development of medical plans that are both product specific and tumors focused which in alignment with US Commercialization (USC) and WW Medical (WWM), translating USC and WWM strategies into effective US Medical launch plans and life cycle management plan
• Active leadership and participation as core member on the WWM matrix teams, and closely collaborating / partnering with worldwide counterparts to craft WWM plans that ensure US market needs are
• Set US Medical data generation strategies, and oversee the execution of the Investigator Sponsored Research (ISR) programs.
• Lead USMO matrix teams (Field Medical, Data Generation, Patient Advocacy, Medical Education, and Congress Management) to plan and deliver portfolios objectives with flawless execution and excellence budget utilization.
• Partner closely with colleagues in Discovery, Clinical Research, Regulatory, and Health Outcomes to ensure the science of the pipeline products and marketed medicines are understood and communicated properly internally and externally.
• Collaborates and communicates with US Commercialization & Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure appropriate alignment between commercial and medical plans.
• Engages with high impact external thought leaders in order to identify and translate key insights and to drive adoption of BMS medicines.
• Contributes to shape the competitive strategies around pricing and reimbursement by influencing from US perspective for the target product profile, label language and value
• Coach Medical field-facing teams to ensure customer-facing objectives are
• Measures and assess the effectiveness of US medical plans regularly.
• Manages teams of Medical Scientists within the responsible portfolios.
